First Amendment Senior Counsel
John Walsh was mentioned in an article "Debating 'Lawfare'," which appeared in
The American Spectator on May 19, 2009. The article discusses the opening panel of a conference on the global efforts to use the legal system to silence speech critical of Islam. Mr. Walsh was one of the panel members who disagreed with the need for a law addressing libel tourism, noting that none of the foreign judgments have proven enforceable in the U.S. "If the Constitution works, why do we need a statute?" he asked.
