Kenneth Levine’s Bylined Article Appears in Latin Finance
Litigator Kenneth S. Levin wrote a bylined article entitled, “Arming for an Ecuador Default,” appearing in the May 2007 issue of Latin Finance. The article illustrates that Rafael Corea, president of Ecuador, and his government are making no promises to continue making bond interest payments. According to analysts, Ecuador will default within the next year on the country’s foreign debt, which currently stands at over $10 billion. This article is to inform bondholders of this issue and prepare them for a legal battle.
