RGGI, Inc. Announces 23% Drop in Carbon Dioxide Emissions

CL&M client Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, Inc. has announced that during the first three years of the RGGI program there has been a 23% decrease in carbon dioxide emissions from the nine currently participating states’ power plants. Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont have implemented the first mandatory market-based regulatory program in the U.S. to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and RGGI, Inc. provided technical and support services to the program. RGGI, Inc. is represented by environmental partner Clifford P. Case III and tax-exempt organizations associate Catherine B. Sheehy.
