The firm’s client, the City of Newburgh, New York, was featured in a major article in the July 2, 2001 issue of BusinessWeek on the nationwide problem of manufactured gas plant pollution, entitled "A Deadly Legacy of Poisons from the Past." The article describes the $20 million jury verdict the firm won for the City in its battle against Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation, and the City’s efforts to get Central Hudson’s manufactured gas contamination cleaned up. The firm's representation of the City began in 1994 and is continuing.
