Practice Description

Tim McCarthy is a U.S. litigator whose practice focuses on international disputes. He resolves disputes across a broad range of subject matter areas, tribunals and jurisdictions, particularly including American courts and international arbitral tribunals, and in coordination of multi-jurisdictional resolution and enforcement efforts. He has represented U.S. and international banks, funds and investment managers, Fortune 500 and international companies, closely-held concerns, and individual investors and executives, in financial and investment disputes, fraud matters, commercial cases, bankruptcy proceedings, and executive employment disputes. His clients and cases have spanned over 20 countries, and sectors including finance and investment, international commerce, oil and gas, and private client disputes. Mr. McCarthy has also previously represented and defended U.S. and international corporate clients, as well as individual clients, in white collar criminal proceedings, internal investigations, and regulatory enforcement matters. He has past experience as a corporate transactional attorney, and ongoing experience with innovative dispute funding strategies.
