Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation Subleases 34 Retail Spaces to Hudson Companies and Related Companies Joint Venture
CL&M represented client Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation (RIOC) in a master sublease of 34 separate retail spaces located on Roosevelt Island to a venture operated by The Hudson Companies and The Related Companies. The subtenant will renovate and upgrade these retail spaces, develop a marketing plan to attract a diverse mix of retail tenants to Roosevelt Island, and manage the retail spaces during the lease term. RIOC was represented by Barbara B. Brown.
RIOC is a public benefit corporation and a political subdivision of the State of New York created to take responsibility for the development and operation of the 147 acres comprising the former Welfare Island, located in New York City's East River.
