Christopher Rizzo Quoted in Crain’s New York Business Regarding Waste-to-Energy

Crain’s New York Business quoted environmental counsel Christopher Rizzo in its April 25, 2012 article on New York City’s efforts to site a waste-to-energy facility in the five boroughs. The facility is intended to ease the financial burden on New York City of exporting thousands of tons per day of solid waste, which reportedly costs the city one billion dollars annually. As Chris noted in the article, however, the City’s zoning and land-use decisions over the past decade have substantially reduced the possible locations for such a facility.
