Carter Ledyard Client CooperSurgical Completes Acquisition of AEGEA Medical
On February 1, 2021, Carter Ledyard client CooperSurgical, Inc. completed its acquisition of AEGEA Medical and its FDA-approved Mara™ Water Vapor Ablation System to treat heavy menstrual bleeding in the doctor’s office. CooperSurgical is a subsidiary of The Cooper Companies, Inc. (NYSE), a leading global medical device company operating in the vision care and women’s health care industries.
Carter Ledyard corporate partner David Karabell, corporate counsel Mary Brown and corporate associate Caitlin Dey Harrison handled this transaction for CooperSurgical, with assistance from corporate associates Brielle Kilmartin and Jane Elberg.
