Pamela Mann Quoted on NPR Re: Contrasting The Donald Trump And Hillary Clinton Foundations
Carter Ledyard Tax-Exempt Organizations chair Pamela A. Mann was interviewed by Joel Rose on October 17 on NPR’s Morning Edition for its segment “There’s Really No Comparison Between The Trump And Clinton Foundations.”
Asked to comment on concerns about the Trump Foundation, Pamela A. Mann, a former head of the New York State Charities Bureau, said “The Trump Foundation has engaged in documented, flagrant acts of violation.” In reference to the foundation’s contribution to a super PAC supporting Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi in 2013, Mann said “It suggests that they’re not deeply concerned with playing by the rules.” “It’s unclear whether that’s because they don’t know what the rules are, or they are willfully ignoring the rules.”
Ms. Mann was asked to comment on the lawsuit alleging that the Trump Foundation charity used funds for personal and political purposes.
