Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP obtained dismissal of a claim for over $440,000 by Zhongshan Silk Imports & Exports Group Co., against its client AXIS NA LLC, an international manufacturer of denim jeans. In his decision in Zhongshan Silk Imports & Exports Group Co. v. AXIS NA LLC, Index No. 450425/2016 (Sup. Ct. NY, Sept. 12, 2016), Justice Mendez found that Zhongshan failed to allege sufficient facts to state a viable claim for breach of contract against AXIS, warranting dismissal of the action.
