Carter Ledyard attorneys accompanied mock trial students from William Cullen Bryant High School in Queens on their tour of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on April 12, 2018, as part of New York State’s High School Mock Trial Program. The students observed oral arguments in criminal, environmental and immigration appeals, learned about the functions of the Clerk’s Office and had an insightful round table discussion with District Judges Brian Cogan (EDNY) and Richard Sullivan (SDNY) about their career paths and experiences on the federal bench. CLM attorneys Elaine Nguyen, Guy Ben-Ami and Jacob Nemon accompanied the students, and earlier this year served as mentors (along with other CLM attorneys) for the William Cullen Bryant mock trial team that competed in the statewide Mock Trial competition.
