Carter Ledyard congratulates Molinelli Architects and its client SolarTectic Bungalow LLC, which announced that the US Patent and Trademark Office has published their patent application for a breakthrough method for making a concrete ceiling system without steel reinforcing. They have already been granted a patent for a similar roof technology using fiberglass. These inventions are intended as components for low cost, eco-friendly housing which could be powered by efficient solar panels, and are of particular interest in remote or impoverished areas.
