Carter Ledyard attorneys Matthew D. Dunn and Jacob H. Nemon accompanied mock trial students from William Cullen Bryan High School, along with their teacher Mr. Luke Young, to view oral arguments in pending cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Thursday, May 11. The students then learned about the functions of the Court of Appeals during a presentation by representatives of the Clerk’s office, followed by lunch with U.S. District Judge Mae A. D’Agostino and U.S. Magistrate Judge Daniel J. Stewart, both of the Northern District of New York. The students asked the jurists questions about the U.S. Court system and their careers on the bench and as members of the bar. Carter Ledyard attorneys serve as advisors and mentors to William Cullen Bryan High School’s mock trial team each spring.
