Carter Ledyard former partner Leo Silverstein passed away on October 30, 2018 at the age of 88. Leo received his A.B. from NYU (cum laude and a member of Phi Beta Kappa), his J.D. from the Harvard Law School and his LL.M. from NYU. He served on the staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission as a corporate finance attorney, and later was a partner at the firm of Sage Gray Todd & Sims before coming to Carter Ledyard as a partner in 1984. His practice areas included securities, mergers & acquisitions, venture capital, and banking and project finance. He was for a time the Chairman of the Committee of Securities & Exchange of the New York County Lawyers Association. Leo was a skilled lawyer, a good colleague and a caring person, and we mourn his passing.
