H. Peter Stern, who co-founded Storm King Arts Center and served as President of Storm King and of the Ralph E. Ogden Foundation, passed away last week at the age of 90. A graduate of Harvard University and Yale Law School, Mr. Stern and his father-in-law, Ralph Ogden, built Storm King, which first opened in 1960, into one of the most significant sculpture parks in the world and provided leadership funding to Storm King through the Ralph E. Ogden Foundation. Carter Ledyard salutes Mr. Stern for his achievements and extends its condolences to the members of the Stern family.
