SONDERICKER—William F. September 14, 1924, died November 15, 2021 at age 97. He was the beloved husband of Mary Genevieve V. Sondericker, father of Mark Sondericker (deceased) and Sarah A. Spinney (surviving), and grandfather of Stephanie J. Dodd, Nicole A. Dodd and Mark J. Dodd (surviving). Bill served in the Navy in the Pacific theater in World War II. He earned his B.S. from New York University and LL.B. from Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. A partner at Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP, and former partner of Olwine, Connelly, Chase, O’Donnell & Weyher, he was an extraordinarily talented lawyer, advising U.S. and international clients in a wide variety of litigation and corporate, joint venture and business matters for almost 70 years. He won jury trials and traveled to the Far East to counsel clients until a few years ago, when failing eyesight made that impossible. He continued to come to the office, putting in a full day’s work every day. Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, a tireless worker, a man of high character, a fan of the Mets and the Metropolitan Opera, and a good friend. A funeral mass will be held at St. Jean Baptiste Church, 184 East 76th Street, New York, New York, at 9:45 A.M. on November 19, 2021.
