NEW YORK, NY (July 21, 2026) – Carter Ledyard represents Bora Bora Juice Restaurant Co. WLL, owner of rights to the BORA BORA mark in the United States for retail juice cafes. On behalf of our client, we filed a motion to add new parties and to file an Amended Complaint on November 13, 2025, against Ali Muflahi, Nabil Hassen, Wadh Alsabahi, Mohammed Ahamed Alqaifi, Khaled Saleh Aljahmi, Issam Hassan, their companies, and the 27 BORA BORA café locations they had illegally franchised, making claims for trademark infringement, false advertising, conversion of our intellectual property assets, and deceptive practices.
On July 1, 2026, the Kings County Commercial Division Court took action to help vindicate our client’s rights in the BORA BORA trademark by denying defendants’ motion to dismiss the original Complaint, and by granting our client’s motion to add new parties and file the Amended Complaint. Bora Bora Juice Restaurant Co. WLL is committed to seeking fair compensation for damages incurred by the defendants’ willful infringement and unauthorized use of its BORA BORA trademark in the United States.
