Carter Ledyard Partner Steven Paul McSloy presented on “The American Indian as Irishman: The Lost Connection,” at the Consulate General of Ireland in New York City on June 12th, 2018. After an introduction by Ciarán Madden, Ireland Consul General in New York, Steve’s presentation and subsequent Q&A explored the history, similarities and conflicts between the Irish and Native Americans, including the famous gift of Famine Relief by the Choctaw people to the people of Ireland in 1847.
