President Obama commuted 214 prisoner sentences yesterday, 118 whose petitions were supported by Clemency Project 2014. The list of clemency grants by President Obama, included Jesse James Gentry, a defendant whose matter was screened by Carter Ledyard’s Clemency Project 2014 pro bono volunteers (Michael Shapiro, Melissa J. Erwin, Matthew B. James, Alexander G. Malyshev, and Jacob H. Nemon) and then forwarded to the national Steering Committee.
