Janice is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property practice. She is a patent attorney concentrating in the fields of electrical, mechanical, and software patents. She has experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications and preparing infringement, patentability, and validity analyses. Janice also has experience preparing licensing, non-disclosure, and settlement agreements, as well as drafting court filings in litigation proceedings for clients regarding patent and trademark matters.
Janice is admitted in New York and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She received her Juris Doctor from Cardozo School of Law, where she served as a staff editor for the Cardozo Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition Honors Society and competed in the 2022 Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. She was also an approved mediator for New York Small Claims Court where she mediated disputes to resolution and was a judicial fellow for the Honorable Loretta A. Preska of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Prior to attending law school, Janice was an English teacher in Sapporo, Japan. Janice received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from The College of New Jersey, where she was a member of Alpha Phi Omega.
