Lizhi Chen represents domestic and international clients in capital market matters and M&A transactions, including U.S. IPOs, SPAC and de-SPAC transactions, shelf offerings, private placement, going private transactions, public M&A, and securities compliance matters. Lizhi has extensive experience drafting prospectus, SEC filings, purchase agreements, due diligence reports.
Before joining Carter Ledyard, Lizhi spent three years at a leading international law firm, where she specialized in U.S. and international capital markets, cross-border M&A transactions, and general corporate matters.
While attending Columbia Law School, Lizhi was a Staff Editor for the Columbia Business Law Review. Prior to Columbia, Lizhi earned her LL.M and LL.B from China University of Political Science and Law.
Lizhi currently serves as an arbitrator and mediator for the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission in Canton, China and the China International Mediation and Arbitration Institute (CIMAI) in Hong Kong, China. She also holds the position of Secretary-General at CIMAI.
Lizhi is a native Mandarin and Cantonese speaker.
