NEW YORK, April 13, 2026 — Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP is pleased to announce that Mark D. Jackson has joined the firm as a Partner in its Real Estate practice. Mr. Jackson brings more than a decade of New York City real estate experience, along with a professional background in construction management and real estate development, to the firm’s real estate team.
Mr. Jackson is a goal-focused real estate attorney and general counsel with expertise in complex lease transactions and large-scale mixed-use developments. He has served as counsel to three of New York’s most impactful mixed-use commercial districts — the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Two Trees’ commercial properties, and Jamestown’s Industry City — where he managed litigation, secured entitlements, negotiated with stakeholders, and oversaw nearly all legal aspects of commercial real estate development and operations. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Jackson was a construction manager with prominent real estate developer Lend Lease, and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras developing civic infrastructure improvements. Mr. Jackson is a graduate of Columbia College and Brooklyn Law School, as well as the Coro Leadership NY program. He is licensed to practice in New York and Washington, D.C.
“I am thrilled to be joining Carter Ledyard & Milburn,” said Mr. Jackson. “The firm has a distinguished history of representing clients in New York and around the world in their most important real estate transactions. I look forward to contributing to that legacy and to working alongside such an accomplished team.”

Irving, Chair of Carter Ledyard’s Real Estate practice, welcomed the addition: “Mark’s deep experience advising some of New York’s most iconic mixed-use developments makes him an exceptional addition to our group.
