Mark Jackson, Partner in the Firm’s Real Estate practice, is hosting a University Challenge Real Estate Case Competition on April 16 with the NYC Metro Chapter of NAIOP.
The event, taking place from 4:00–6:00 p.m. with a networking reception to follow, will feature graduate students from leading Master of Science in Real Estate programs presenting redevelopment proposals for a 100+ year-old parking structure located at 550 West 25th Street in West Chelsea, adjacent to the High Line. Finalist teams from the University at Buffalo, Baruch College, and NYU’s Schack Institute of Real Estate will present their concepts before a distinguished panel acting as a mock investment committee. The panel will include prominent leaders from across New York’s real estate industry, including Andrew Kimball, Clare Newman, Rosie Tilley, AJ Pires, Elisa Ours, Jordan Barowitz, and Lev Lev Kimyagarov.
The competition is supported by the New York City Metro chapter of NAIOP, a leading commercial real estate trade association. Mark, who serves as Chair of the chapter’s Government Affairs Committee, has played an active role in advancing industry engagement through initiatives such as the annual State of the Market program and legislative advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C. and Albany.
