I consider myself a problem solver. And before I get to the answer, I first need to know what the question is. When a client comes to me with an issue I always dig in deep and pull it apart to get to the nuts and bolts. I truly enjoy working through the information and getting to the point where I feel like I have a complete understanding of exactly what’s going on. I can then explain the situation to the client and present them with their best options for addressing it.
Serving both commercial and individual clients, Aaron Cahn handles a wide variety of bankruptcy, insolvency, and creditors’ rights cases in bankruptcy court and in state and federal courts. He advocates for borrowers and lenders in financing transactions and non-bankruptcy litigation.
Aaron guides parties through bankruptcy proceedings, including negotiation and litigation of Chapter 11 plans and other restructuring activities. In addition, he litigates preference, fraudulent transfer, and contract actions in bankruptcy proceedings and advises potential purchasers of assets out of bankruptcies. Banks and other financial institutions rely on Aaron to handle their bankruptcy and loan documentation matters, as well as their bankruptcy litigation. His work also encompasses a range of areas beyond financial services, including maritime, cross-border, and cannabis and hemp.
Aaron’s representation of both borrowers and lenders gives him a broad perspective on the interests and concerns of both types of parties and helps him separate key facts from irrelevant information. With a keen ability to look down the road, Aaron uses this insight to focus his attention on the issues that will ultimately come to the forefront, which helps him in advancing the interests of his clients.
While he is candid and straightforward with his analysis and advice, Aaron also recognizes that many clients are grappling with difficult situations. He treats all clients with respect and compassion, putting himself in their places and assessing how he would proceed if he were them. Aaron uses his abilities to read people and to listen closely to help clients thoroughly understand their case’s circumstances and choose their best courses forward.
