Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Automation

PrintPDFEmail

With the advancement of AI and machine learning technology, Carter Ledyard has advised and assisted companies and individuals operating in this evolving space across a range of industries and sectors. Our Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Automation team is a multidisciplinary group of attorneys with experience in cybersecurity and privacy, patents, crypto/blockchain, SaaS and technology contracts, and litigation. As questions and challenges relating to generative AI will continue to emerge, Carter Ledyard is well-positioned to continue to help clients navigate these uncharted waters.

We are keenly aware of the challenges clients are facing in the rapidly developing world of AI, from concerns over evolving regulation, legislation, litigation, funding, and protecting processes and technologies. Our attorneys closely monitor industry trends, and work with clients across the healthcare, finance, entertainment, industrial, and other industries to help them develop and implement best practices

Our AI team works together with clients and industry leaders to bring solutions to common and uncommon problems in order to help our clients meet their objectives and protect their interests. For example, we advise on New York’s Local Law 144 Algorithmic Hiring Law, among other statutes targeting the use of AI. Whether a client has a question about licensing and contracts, deployment of resources, automation, joint ventures and corporate structuring, intellectual property or trade secrets, dispute resolution and litigation, shareholder interests and ownership rights, privacy and data protection, or strategy, Carter Ledyard has the experience and forward-thinking approach to innovate with our clients.

Artifical Intelligence Talk

Our ongoing series of discussions about leveraging the opportunities and managing the risks of generative artificial intelligence.  Practitioners in our Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Automation Industry Group explore these issues in a commonsense way.  The complex characteristics of contracts, service agreements and vendors are broken down to identify ways of minimizing the risk to companies and their data.
