The people I serve appreciate my dedication to their matters and the seriousness with which I consider their goals, needs, and budgets. Whether I’m helping a client with no prior involvement in litigation issues or a big in-house legal department that deals with complex matters every day, I give each one the same level of undivided attention when we interact. I’m told I’m quite easy to work with and excel at connecting with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
Representing organizations across the United States and around the world, commercial litigator Jeffrey “Jeff” Boxer focuses his practice on employment law, non-compete agreements and other restrictive covenants, and protection of trade secrets. In his advisory role, he consults with clients on their workplace concerns and plans, reviews contracts and existing post-employment restrictive covenants, and updates or creates new restrictive covenants. He also advises clients that are considering hiring competitors’ employees and counsels them on breach of contract and duty concerns. Additionally, Jeff handles a variety of other matters, including securities fraud, intellectual property and cross-border cases as well as business divorces.
On the complex commercial and business disputes side of his practice, Jeff represents clients in state and federal courts and in arbitrations before the Financial Institution Regulatory Authority (FINRA), American Arbitration Association (AAA), the International Court of Arbitration (ICC), the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR), the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), and other arbitration bodies.
Jeff works vigorously to protect his clients’ interests and reduce the potential risks to business and trade secrets as well as other confidential information when exiting employees leave their companies. He also helps clients integrate new hires in a way that minimizes their risks and is respectful of former employer’s legitimate interests while ensuring that new hires can contribute meaningfully once they join the client. His ability to see and understand all angles in the calculus of a matter— from both organizations’ and the employee’s perspectives—provides him with a strong advantage, which benefits clients. Because non-competes and related documents are intricately connected with how a company improves and increases profitability, Jeff finds it gratifying to help his clients plot their courses forward.
With expansive knowledge and familiarity with complex and ever-evolving areas of law, Jeff easily fields questions that few others can answer. He always emphasizes responsiveness, both in terms of turnaround time and tailoring his approach to each particular circumstance. Rejecting cookie-cutter protocols, Jeff and his team take the time to thoroughly but efficiently study and analyze clients’ businesses, objectives, and opinions and take these factors into account when crafting strategies.
